PRINT MATERIALS: Fenton Curbside Library Book Checkout & Return
Time/Place:
- Each Wednesday that school is in session, 9:00 am - 11:00 am
- Front curb of Fenton High School by Door 1
Ordering Books: Students and staff can order books (and other library materials) in 3 ways:
- Through Fenton’s Library Catalog:
- Login using your school Gmail credentials.
- Find titles using the search options.
- Click the blue “Hold” button on the title(s) to be checked out. (The librarian will see these holds in the circ system and prepare the books for pick up.)
- Pick up the books within the next 2 weeks during curbside checkout times.
- Through this Book Request Form (Librarians will respond to these form submissions via email with students and prepare orders accordingly.)
- Through school email to a librarian and teacher-librarian collaboration
Book Check-Out/Check-In Notifications:
- Via email, librarians will notify students when their book orders are ready for pick up.
- Students will receive email notifications when their books are due.
- Students can renew their books by logging into the library catalog or by emailing Mrs. Wright (wright@fenton100.org).
Safety Precautions:
- Wear a facemask over the nose and mouth at all times.
- Exercise social distancing whenever and wherever possible.
- The librarian takes her temperature, self-monitors for signs of illness, and uses the school’s self-certification system before entering the school building.
- The librarian washes her hands often and avoids touching her eyes, nose, and mouth.
- The librarian quarantines books and sanitizes bags before handing to patrons.
- The librarian wears sanitized gloves before handling books and checking out materials (scanner, keyboard, laptop, post-its, time-stamp, due date cards, book orders, carts)
- Students return books to a separate book cart, and the librarian sanitizes or quarantines books before checking them out again.
